Older Adults Mental Health Services

Mental Health Services For Older People (MHSOP) provide community based and inpatient services for people 65 years and over who live in Counties Manukau. The services offer assessment and treatment for the full range of mental health disorders that can be experienced by older people.

Our services are based at Middlemore Hospital however the community services team will visit people in their own home, Rest Homes and in Private Hospitals.

Anyone can contact these services for assistance however we prefer you to come to our service with a referral from your GP as she/he is your main health care provider and will continue to be involved in your care.
